Yeah, anything is better than qantas! The planes they use for that route are old and small, 1 TV up the front style, really old and crappy. From our experience, fly anything BUT qantas.
I heard they have just changed their policy to allow surfboards without charge as long as you are under your weight allowance to honolulu. (previously it was only boards under 5'10" accepted) It applies to all their flights operating an A330.
