There's an article in New Scientist this week about how soon quantum computing should crack bitcoin's encryption. Before 2030.
It says that somebody has come up with security which should be even stronger than what it uses now, but it would take 200 times the current level of energy use per transaction.
I guess they were right.
And turns out you didn't even have to crack the blockchain encryption to crack cryptocurrency.
Carantoc's gonna be smiling all weekend knowing that Carantoc knows that Carantoc was right.
