Site is under a meltdown at the moment
www.aljazeera.com/blogs/

Basically they showed the movie to the Ugandans themselves, and it didn't go very well.

From the article:
"Towards the end of the film, the mood turned more to anger at what many people saw as a foreign, inaccurate account that belittled and commercialized their suffering.
The event ended with the angrier members of the audience throwing rocks and shouting abusive criticism, as the rest fled for safety, leaving an abandoned projector, with organizers and the press running for cover until the dust settled."

On the bracelets and such:
"One woman I spoke to made the comparison of selling Osama Bin Laden paraphernalia post 9/11 - likely to be highly offensive to many Americans, however well intentioned the campaign behind it."

Well, with that all over now I say we start a seabreeze campaign to get General Butt Naked:

Once again i find so many of the negatives trying to point Kony 2012 out to be a scam. So the Ugandans didn't understand the white mans emotions. To be honest the video wasn't made to make the Ugandans feel better, it was made to tug at the heart strings of the rest of the world to get on board and help them stop Kony..

All the top Ugandan officials are supporting the movement. Surely they must have some first hand knowledge and some idea of what is right and wrong?
