www.theregister.co.uk/2015/07/27/android_phone_text_flaw/

All I can say is pray your telco patches soon. all you need to do is receive the MMS and you're p0wned.
i can see MMS auto diallers in motion already!

Hey westoz - you don't need a patch mate. Messages --> settings --> MMS --> untick 'automatically fetch mms'.

Took me all of 15 seconds.

Good advice kiteboy.
as for rooting your phone, what you do in the privacy of your own room is your business ;)

peoples addiction to tech is embarrassing them
phones are not computers yet and all the exploits and lack of good cleaning software makes them way more vulnerable

Apple is the antichrist

What's more disappointing is that Google don't take this seriously (and neither do Apple) so they go public to get patches created.
bit like the Jeep thing.
since when do network engineers know anything about software anyway ;)

As a tech architect, they only let me play with crayons anyway.
nowhere near the tools. It's safer that way.

Mark has a couple of km of wire and a rotary dial as his mobile. So, in his world, this is a perfectly rational statement.
