No reactions to this... is being individually powerless the cause of collectively ignoring the issues?
They won't be solve here in this forum, but making a bit of noise about a problem is always a good place to start!!! There are many things that can be done individually to give a massive collective result. The more individuals, the bigger the impact!

i completely agree with everything that he is saying.Everyone should be doing everything possible to combat global warming. start with buying green power or something, if i was old enough i would definitely be doing more but untill then its up to adults to take action. Everyone just needs to think about what is happening and think about their grandchildren.

I guess neither of you have seen the "Climate change whose paying" thread? "First solar power cheque"? What about "New ice age to start in 2014" thread?

I think everyone is climate changed out!

I don't understand the climate changed out bit? We are talking ocean here, that which gives us so much, in any way you want to think of it.
Obviously everyone has heard about it, but most people seem to have floaty vague notions, or choose not to make it a part of their lives. Unfortunately it is the other way around.

Other threads are great, and these videos add information I've never come by before, that's why I am sharing. The more you know, the better. Climate change in itself is not the issue.

We live in a world where we are so detached from our "life support system" we don't even appreciate it to its just value. We are surrounded by our manicured lawns (in a dry country), we fill up our cars around the corner, we are so brainwashed with the "more for me" mentality we don't do anything useful to the ecosphere (us: society, the living world that sustain us, and the atmosphere we breathe).
There is so little empathy around, just check out the suicide rates among young men in Australia... I am outraged that we get carried into lifestyle of short term benefits and pleasures which will yield NO good whatsoever in the long run.... read more, watch more, inform yourself. The evidence is there and is undeniable. Yet what do we do????????

In a large part it is our sense of value which is f****d... an example is "Australian Idol", we individually strive to be seen by everyone and be "special". The happiest people on earth are probably the ones who sing together as a group.
What of tertiary education and kids wanting to learn the higher skills the human race has acquired during its history, in any level of excellence you can think of? No! It's too hard, we just want money and enjoy life's simple pleasures, not caring (knowing?) about the catastrophic effects... It's exactly like being a child who doesn't want to learn how to walk and decide to creep around... UN-BELIEVABLE

Anyway I better stop before writing too much. I like to shake the cage on that topic.
