Being an old bastard that grew up listening to 2JJ and triple J I find it increasingly difficult to listen to the crap that the "youth network" dishes up today. I don't mind 2FBI but even that is a bit too youthful for me at times.

Ive been using the Pandora App for sometime now, where you can tailor your own radio stations to your likes. For example a few of my stations are 80s Alternative; Punk radio, Classic Indie Radio and Funk Jazz Radio.

Anyone else using this App?

Also, in ITunes you can stream radio stations that cater for any taste, so you can free yourself from the mindless commercial dribble that we're subjected to on a day to day basis.

I use the tunein app. my favourite station on there is Koffee but it can get a bit repetitive if you listen all the time so I also have the JJJs listed in my favourites.

i just download gilles peterson world wide radio shows and get some culture.

Never used Pandora, used to use last FM but switched to Spotify. Has the ability to do artist based stations but it also allowed me to listen to full albums.

Well actually I am using a soft called Audials one to record online radio stations from Pandora.It works with other similar video streaming websites very good and I see that they even have a tutorial about how you can record musics from this website particularly:

I can't stand all the ads on radio stations but only other option is triple J and that sux ass. I like all types of tunes so may look into pandora. I find it a bit sad that people in their 40s are stuck in a time warp and can't seem to listen to anything past the 80s music. Generation gaps between parents and kids. My dad was a Jazz only type guy and I used to hate how he couldn't listen to anything else which made it hard to go a long drive with lol.
