I would have thought that this should stand as a salutory lesson. If poorboy has genuinely "lost" his licence then he should get his mother to search his room to find it. If poorboy is actually CARELESSboy and had his licence revoked for breaking the law then he should have considered the repercussions before acting in a careless manner endangering other road users. Tough luck about the job and stop grizzling.
