Just wondering if anyone can suggest some good goggles that can have a prescription lens fitted to them. I am short sighted and will use them mainly for windsurfing and out in the boat.

Not sure if you wear contacts, but if you do - I found the 1 day Acuvue to be awesome. I use them for swimming, surfing and kiting and have only lost 1 in the last 4 years. They are 100% UV and let you use normal goggles or sunnies. Might be worth a try if you can't find the goggles you need.

Sea specs in the US do prescription sunnies.

www.seaspecs.com/

You may get a bit of distortion but it depends on your prescription.

They have a pretty quick turnaround time.

I bought some non-prescription seaspecs but could not find anyone locally who could/would put lenses in them so I went back to seaspecs and bought them from them.

I'm sure someone you know or sail with will have a pair of non-prescription ones so ask them if you can try them for size (and colour) before you order.

Hope this helps.

Buy a $5 strap from your optometrist and a bit of string tied from the strap to your wettie/rashie and you can use you normal prescription glasses/sunnies, I've used this for 20 years windsurfing and survived catapaults being worked in the waves etc and never lost a setof specs
