Never saw him in person, but listened to him forever. Sad day. Huge influence on other musicians worldwide.

The Stones wouldn't come up with their greatest "get yer ya ya's" album if he wasn't around..

But his own playing influence came from his cousin Marvin who happened to be at the Michael J. Fox gig

Saw him perform in Darwin in the 70's, he was the man in his day and yep a huge influence. I listened to a heap of his music yesterday

Also saw him wondering around on the local nude beach, just white socks and sand shoes, looked funny cos his minders were dressed up flash
