As a kid mum used to buy the books that Murray put out with all the cartoons to date. Read every one from front to back many times. A lot of the stuff was very relatable growing up on a farm. Especially Horse the feral cat, there is always that one animal that you don't phuck with on your farm...........ever!

Thanks for all your entertainment Murray Ball.

I too grew up on footrot flats. Great cartoons, great characters.

I guess we've had the good -Ball- the bad -Leak- and now we wait for the ugly - Pickering.

I grew up in Gisborne, NZ, and my dad's secret firewood collecting spot was nearby Murray Ball's farm. I remember seeing him a few times as we drove through his property. He was a friendly bloke.
