Have elected to "not" purchase fuel from one of the major suppliers in WA.
Cant actually name them but thier name starts with one out of three letters that is near to the top of the alphabet. (HINT) If your still not sure which major outlet, they have a tendency to sell fuel at a higher price than the other major outlets.
I know they they are the only supplier for the two major chains over in WA, but there service stations outlets are the most vulnerable to a purchase boycott that can help to drive price down.

So... your theory is that by lowering demand with this supplier their prices will go down. But will this not just increase demand equally with the other suppliers, making their prices go up?

Supply and demand dude. It's a self adjusting free market.

Meanwhile nobody has complained about the price of milk which has gone up a lot more than petrol. Understandably you don't buy 50L of milk a week, but the principle is the same.

Here's an idea, protest by catching the train or riding ya bike.. same effect on ALL the outlets AND you save money/get fitter/help the environment..

Everyone's a winner baby that's no lie

Good old Burkish Petroleum... imgine how differant the middle east might be if not for those turkeys stuffing the place around prior and after WWII

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BP

Check it out. It's not just the Yanks that play dirty for their own interests. They have been led by their paraniod noses to back/overthrow every side of the show in the middle east. I don't know how the hell they even work out who there 'allies' are on any given day...

BP, Caltex, Exxon laugh at you until you find a way to stop yourself from eating or using any forms of energy

The irony being the cost of fuel is what is probably driving up the cost of milk at an even higher rate... (see Crude movie).

Can we ride a cow to work and knock off two problems at once? Just stick to the median strips all the way and fuel up the moo-mobile as you go.

Crikey this has got some value I reckon!! No need for bovine seat covers either.. further savings allround.

Ah Ha, your on the ball However a small point raised that you may have missed is. (told you, you should run for PM)
I know they are the only supplier for the two major chains over in WA, (have the refinery) but thier service stations outlets are the most vulnerable to a purchase boycott that can help to drive price down.

This is the impact point the "outlets" and over inflated goods every person is tempted with, when entering to pay for fuel.
This area, plus the cost to run outlets that is the "soft underbelly" if it starts to show a return on investment downturn. this will drive the financial clout inside this group to raise merry hell if the profit margin gets a smack
Fuel sales at pump are only part off the overall picture.

Milk may be expensive, but oranges are cheap, you can buy American imported oranges landed in Esperance - 800k's from a container port, for $1.55/kg in the shop.

Some German dude drinks a keg of the beer, gets on a flight to Australia, then pisses in the bottles

Do they actually import the beer, and bottle here. Or do they just "import" the recipe/process and brew locally too. Would make a change compared to the number of things that only get packaged here and have labels that make everyone believe they were made/grown here. Marketing again.
