Everyone would vote for sea breeze trolls party if they stopped the hair splitting arguments and came up with a workable policy for .
Everything .
So go for it .
I'm sure with cooperation even a grand unified theory of everything as well as our planets salvation is achievable
At very least I'm hoping to hear solutions that could be presented to a local member.
so even if the changes start small

Well how predictable the sea breeze troll party. Would prefer to argue on other threads than offer there own solutions.
I should become a physic.

Hang on. You only gave us two hours in the middle of the night.
I want to see marijuana decriminalised to make room in the prisons for anyone who breaches a family violence intervention order.
I've already said this on another thread but it fits better here

The trouble with workable policies is that they either need to be huge ones where everyone just does it or small ones where the changes come incrementally.

The problem with the first ones is that you need to be a dictator to make them happen, and the problem with the second ones is that no one sees the value in implementing them.

..but our planet is saved. We have a time traveling e-catamaran farmer, so we are all saved. Can I hear a 'hallelejah'!

There is a troll's party - it's called Heavy Weather. www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/General-Discussion/Heavy-Weather

The trouble is, it's difficult to come up with workable solutions when people resort to arguing about semantics, deploy linguistic deception techniques, spout ideological propaganda and worst of all, talk about each other's shortcomings instead.

One of the greatest invention of Facebook is introducing : friends only policy.
That is how the site is design in mind.Generally you are allowed to post POSITIVE FEEDBACK sign only.
So there is hope that on those 8 bln people you will find always somebody that agree with you.We are lucky to have similar introduced by moderator here. Removing RED THUMB.
Soon after Trolls managed to get around.,
Their tactics is now to post abuse is straight form, then all other TROLLS in the line happily support invectives with their GREEN THUMB.

Another future of Facebook is almost unlimited amounts of thread, topics.
You may always find one to avoid confrontation with angry mob.

Here on SB you could post in general section the most benign post and instantly be atack just to fulfill TROLLS sadistics instincts.

Good science is always followed by good experiment to prove that point.
Lets experiment starts and see how long it takes now to TROLLS to pop up with mindless critics.

As usual time for some inventions.
Why not to invent POSITIVE TROLL.
GREEN TROLL that will pop up always to support you regardless how hopeless your post is?

Invention No2.
Why not to introduce TROLLING POLICY requiring all critical trolls to post instantly proposal of solution, improvement over criticized subject?
That may result in converting destructive trolls into creative creatures, or just limit their activity - when have nothing positive to sall at all.

I think that last one invention could be introduced in parliaments around the whole worlds too.

Good point. Decriminalising marijuana should also free up room in the prisons for those who make false accusations as well.

We would have to change the name to parliament house.

On one side we have moderators , that spend a lot or their own time, effort and even money to keep this site working.
On another hand we may have 3 to 5 TROLLS that do think , they managed to damage their effort.
But design of SB is much smarter that TROLLS expect.
There are specialised sections where TROLLING activity is instantly identified by community and rebuffed.

As as prove of thesis : Most of my colleagues post in specialised section, don't even bother to look into GENERAL bin.
as double prove serve another example> MOst of the TROLLS do post exclusively in HEAVY WEATHER and had nothing to say in specialistic sections.

Still whining that there's a party going on and you haven't been invited?

Quick to make comments about HW but how would HG know what goes on in there? holy guacamole has never been there, have they? Unless maybe HG has been there under a different name (or two) and been punted out on a regular basis so still has a hankering to be included again.

So come clean HG and actually admit what everyone already knows, have you previously been in HW under a different identity

This is true. I am not this other notorious identity. Maybe try and get over it trolls?

Although I have to say, whatever this identity did he\she really did get under the troll's skin.

Bu then again, only a troll would care about this stuff. Everyone else here couldn't care less and just gets on with a conversation.

I have had access to Heavy Weather for months, but I'm not silly enough to spend hours there every day like the trolls do.

Happy trolling.

I would guess the first order of business is to accurately describe trolling. Is it the practice of repeatedly posting argumentative crap, posting debasing and rude comment (including pics) that are designed to affront and intimidate those that may disagree or refute a given viewpoint?
Or would merely having an alternative viewpoint count? Perhaps the calling out of one that appears to be posting propaganda, would that be defined as trolling?
Any opinions?

No you don't. You do not have access to heavy weather at all. Unless you are talking about looking over the shoulder of someone else.

Try a new argument.

I thought the argument was that any discussion on the internet devolves to talking about Nazis or Hitler, but it seems its now WTC7.
