I don't think conservative and tax paying go together, nor does religious and not pushing religion. John Wayne was a racist. I thought the do gooders were the christians. Why would you fear god if he loves you? There is not enough jobs to go round, about 1 million short in Australia when you include the underemployed. This is the most stupid post I've read here in a long time. Plenty of things wrong with it.

I hate all that American style patriotism that has managed to rear it's ugly head here.

This "cut 'n' paste" post has conjured up some bad memories I have of Australia day in Sydney only a few years back - when i saw young males, pissed out of their brains, on JD and Coke throwing up and wiping their mouths on the Australian flag they had draped around them, while at a rock concert, which was supposed to be celebrating what we have achieved.

Agreed Oliver. But - those who agree with most of the original post also hate the fact the younger generation are draping flags all over themselves once a year as patriotism has suddenly become trendy. Those drunken yob kids would not know the first thing about flag protocol and treat it like a fashion accessory.
However them getting pissed and puking American liquor is a completely different social disease than that discussed in this thread.
