The bird feeder analogy.

Haven't heard it put this way before,

but it's a great analogy.

I bought a bird feeder. I hung it on my back patio and filled it with seed. What a beauty of a bird feeder it is as I filled it lovingly with seed. Within a week we had hundreds of birds taking advantage of the continuous flow of free and easily accessible food.

But then the birds started building nests in the boards of the patio, above the table, and next to the barbecue.
Then came the ****... It was everywhere: on the patio tile, the chairs, the table....everywhere!

Then some of the birds turned mean. They would dive bomb me and try to peck me even though I had fed them out of my own pocket.

And other birds were boisterous and loud. They sat on the feeder and squawked and screamed at all hours of the day and night and demanded that I fill it when it got low on food.

After a while, I couldn't even sit in my own back garden anymore. So I took down the bird feeder and in three days the birds were gone. I cleaned up their mess and took down the many nests they had built all over the patio.

Soon, the back yard was like it used to be ..... quiet, serene and no one demanding their rights to a free meal.

Now let's see..... our government gives out free food,
subsidized housing, free medical care, and free education and allows anyone born here to be an automatic citizen.

Then the illegal's came by the tens of thousands.

Suddenly our taxes went up to pay for free services; small apartments are housing 5 families; you have to wait 6 hours to be seen by an emergency room doctor; your child's 2nd grade class is behind other schools because over half the class doesn't speak English.

Corn Flakes now come in a bilingual box; I have to 'press
one' to hear my bank talk to me in English, and people waving flags other than our Flag are squawking and screaming in the streets, demanding more rights and free liberties.

Just my opinion, but maybe it's time for the government to take down the bird feeder.

So what is wrong with this one?

No doubt someone will say because you do not like birds that crap all over your patio you are obviously a racist.

I think I'm onto something with my theory of more than three paragraphs is just cut 'n' copy plagiarism on this forum.

I've never had some 'muslim' walk into my house and tell me what to do..
Although although I was a best man for one once and they did their thing the way they wanted and I did mine...
Seems to me a minority is spoiling it for the rest of em and the alarmists are generalizing some weird scenario that they are being told what to do by all of em. Yes the Australia has issues but piss ant ranting is gonna do **** all. Mayb you could rethink your approach kind red neck..

I believe the whole thrust of this thread is asking the question:-

"Who has the right to impose their will upon another?"

A recent immigrant to this country upon one whose residency here is backed by several generations of ancestral residency?

I don't think so.

What is happening is that street and political smart newcomers are playing the moral card against a gutless parliament (be it Liberal, Labor or psuedo Green) and it's attached amoral beaurocracy to disenfranchise the existing resident population.

I am not just talking English and European Australians. They will do it to Aboriginal People too if we let them.

Wake up Australia and look what is happening to the country you allegedly love.

Yes it was a cut and paste from an email. Was that not patently obvious?

Wake up cisco, stop rubbishing our country, with your poison. If you don't like it here - you have options.

You don't sound like you like it here - always whining about something.

I'm guessing you are around 50 - nearly invisible - and making some sort of last stand for visibility. If NZ isn't an option why not move to the country, read some of those self awareness books - there are heaps of them. Keith Richards has a new one.

Maybe grow your own vegetables, smell the roses, build a mud brick home and just sit back and enjoy what you've achieved as you slowly wilt away.

I'm guessing you are around 30 something - haven't really committed yourself to anything yet. Maybe you should go and get a big BLACK 4wd on hire purchase or lease if you are sexy enough to make a tax deduction out of it and then go out to some remote location and make it break down.

You haven't boxed me and you never will because there will never be a box big enough, small enough, square enough or round enough to fit me in.

Attack me if you like and I will give you as good or better back. However that sort of exchange is against the forum rules and is likely to get this thread locked or deleted.

If that is your intention, you should keep going. I will still be here.

I think we all know that this thread will be either locked or deleted in the morning. So many displaced pixels - so much conspiracy - so little time.

I've noticed that quite a few locked/deleted threads in the past have carried your (cisco) avatar somewhere in it - not that there is anything wrong with that. Probably a good thing.

As for me being 30 - You are off the mark, I'm translucent, pushing invisibility. I'm not interested in boxing you or anyone else up - I'm here to help and you seem to be very capable of boxing yourself up without outside assistance.

Hopefully I salvaged most of the interesting discussion for posterity, however I think the outcome of this thread will not be a surprise to anyone...
