For those that don't know if you come across full time employment, and decided to leave after the second week you MUST give a written warning to the employer after the first week of employment.
If you fail to do so and just give a verbal notice the company can with hold one week pay! For me it was $1250 after working 60 long hard hours!
And also centrelink will not want to know you for another 8 weeks as a penalty!

Anyone got a job for me?

Sorry to hear.
In general terms, you never want to leave on a verbal, one always should produce a 1-sentence, generic resignation letter.

Out of curio what was the reason for leaving so soon?
And how come 60 hours on a first week?

No it's just a rule we don't usually think about or know about when most of the time jobs are cool!

60hr per week 5 days a week was the job.

Turns out I was like number 96 that had passed through. And the record for the shortest period of employment was 1 day. The fellow rocked up in the morning and left in the evening.

Oh and it cost me $800 in airfares and $300 in rents!

Why I left is the same reasons all the others have left!

As far as I am aware, if you have worked the hours you are to be paid for them. If you work for an organisation for less than a year, then you are required to give at least a weeks notice. I'm sure if you pushed the issue to your former employer and said you were taking the to Fair Work, they'd be wasting a lot of their time explaining their actions.

Been there done that with fairwork today ..... It's the law for full time employment... I didn't really think about it I kinda thought it was a trial to see what the job was like. Turns out once they pay you a full time wage you are then full time.

Ok an up date. Fair work say I may have a case to recover my 130 hours from my ex employer even after I only gave a verbal resignation. But now i have to fill a complaint form which now I find I have to print, complete and send it snail mail to Adelaide before any further proceedings . What a joke why the hell do I need/have Internet in this modern day!

did u by any chance sign a contract with them? if not you could be classified as a casual employee and only have to give a verbal resignation. If you have not signed a contract with them to be under any formal award they will have to pay you what hours you worked, (just finished a module that covers some of this in my diploma of business).

Because pay day is on Thursdays that's if it turns up in your account. Good question though I did think that through!

maybe you should of stayed another 2 weeks and f#$ked every thing you touched then they would have to give you notice

the down side of this is you end up with nicknames like dick fingers or life saver
