Where crime doesn't pay..........
Doing 4 or 5k over the speed limit does.

Shootings in logan, stabbings in Surfers, bikies bashing people in "Cooly rocks on".
But don't worry about putting police resources into any of that, it costs money.
Motorists are the great cash cow for the state and the bueracrats bleet the same old "in the name of road $afety."
Geez these wankers make me sick!

Here in WA it's not overly expensive to speed....

A workmate got pinged for doing 176km in a 70km zone on his way home from a midnight shift on his Kwaka. We were stirring him up and predicting a couple of thousand dollars and at least one year suspension for first crack under the hoon laws.

We were wrong !!

He got $800 and 8 months when he fronted last week. Go figure

I was at a set of traffic lights a few months back, me in the left lane, D's in a Camry in the middle and an M3 in the right hand turn lane.
Green arrow fronts and the M3 takes off sideways in a cloud of smoke and would've been doing over a ton in seconds. At this stage I hadn't noticed the D's next to me, my phone rings (whilst still stopped at the red light) I answer it and on come the lights and siren. $250 and three points thankyou muchly. I guess they figured a stationary target was easier than a high velocity M3.

Makes me feel safe at night it does.

Ouch! That sucks big time... especially as you were stationary. I still see plenty of young girls chatting with the phone on their ear while in peak hour traffic - unbelievable...

Now that's just straight out cherry picking. After all who's more likely to kill the absent minded kid chasing a ball onto the road?

Yeah Qlds a police state alright. They won't even let 7 year olds drive the old man home from the pub.
