Whilst all of the suggestions sound appealing I would have to say "I like to... getfunky" - of course you knew that all along didn't you

So anyway, I'm off to stick this fork in my face and run a round like a poor relly on the freeway...

Had FilthyAmatuer as a online nick for a long time, i think It was first 'filthy' and one of my mates called me an amateur after I asked a dumb question. FilthyAmatuer sounded better and has connotation (I was a teenager). It is spelt wrong because when I made the name I didnt know how to spell Amateur, and couldnt be arsed changing it.

Very boring really

After being a mad Lid rider, I went to the Darkside and started standup surfing at the age of 35.

My mates which I surfed with reckoned that I looked like Dancing Elmo on the board so the name stuck.

My surfing was that bad my wife once asked me "who the hell were you waving your arms at out there whenever you caught a wave?"

The same mates are also happy that I have returned to Lid riding, Their wave count may not be as high, but it is safer for all concerned

Well I wasnt gonna get into my username as it is self explanatory.
But anywho yes the inside of the barrel is refered to as the greenroom.
About 5 or 6 years ago I had a 1970 Kingswood wagon. It was green and my mates called it 'The Greenroom'.
So I applied for license plates GREENROOM.
Now the nickname Greenie has stuck

Red Pat was a rather large chap who took up kiting at the same time I did. We were about the same size, had the same name, same kite, same skill level, but his kite was red.

Started off as me, used my real name............ Encountered a whole lot of rubbish when I tried to be serious....... Decided to use a name that was nothing like me and be a comedian "hardman" with my surname "softboy" which is what I'm really like, then others shortened "hardman" to "hardie", which I particularly liked as I used to be a big fan of Laural and Hardie!!!!! Great Comedians

Sort of runs with industry I am in.
Did a loooong stint in the bush. Few others chucked about at times, red/ginger hair, you know the usual ones 'short fuse, fanta pants, blue and so on, but the one that stuck, is this one ( a handle thrown at me one evening over a shandy or two by a marketing legend, who brags today after all these years that he thought of it and it stuck)
Some who I have met in industry don't even know my real name. Particularly guys from the North Americas, most ask why my old man gave me such a strange name

"Chook" has been my nickname since forever and my Hubby had a number that read "Mytmic" so I just sort of stole the first part of his number plate to create my nickname. (I figure he owed me for the 2 boys he has now and me) I use it for everything (email, and business purposes mainly)
