I have been told that highway police in the U.S. carry 20 litre drums of in the boot of their patrol cars as it is the best thing for washing blood and guts off the road after a road accident.

From Wiki

"CSE found that the Indian produced Pepsi's soft drink products had 36 times the level of pesticide residues permitted under European Union regulations; Coca-Cola's soft drink was found to have 30 times the permitted amount. CSE said it had tested the same products sold in the U.S. and found no such residues"

So just don't buy it in India

Snopes has an entire section on Cokelore, but seems to have missed this one

Diet Coke is the real rotten stuff here in Oz..

A freind had Gastric band surgery (where the put a ring device around the stomach to stop you being able to eat large amounts).
They got a piece of food stuck, and of course felt like they were choking to death - their doctors orders were to get a can of Diet Coke!!! And....... it worked!

So doctors recommend it? Cool.
I'm healthy as then.

Coke is also great to use for an engine degreaser
I use to drink 3-4 cans of coke at work every day for monfs until a work mate told me that Coke pays his mortgage. His wife is a dentist and reckons its the number one killer for your teef. I stopped drinking it and havent touched it since.

If you can find a penny you can try the old high school experiment. Put coke in dish drop in penny and watch desolve.

The Concetrate that is used for fountain drinks is awsome as a dereaser if you can find something to remove the sticky residue after.

Jeesus Rellie!! What are you eating???

Cassa - you could always mix in a bit of Domestos. Flavour is obviously not an issue.

I suppose if Coke and Pizza started the problem in the first place, you may as well use one of the perpetrators to sort out the problem afterwards.

I used to live near a regional manager for coke. He seemed to know a lot about the company and it's history. We sometimes talked about the marketing strategies that coke would use and I could tell he was not comfortable with having to enforce some of the policies.

He never really talked about the product. One thing that I noticed though, is that even though he had ready access to the product for free (promos etc) he never drank it and neither did any of his family.

I could be wrong, but I suspect he was making an INFORMED decision.

In south africa earlier in the year sitting at a bar having a rum and coke as i am prone to do. Started reading the ingredients on the back of the coke can. Sugar, phosphoric acid, water etc.
Stuck to imported beer after that.
