My old Comp. Sci. teacher had the best quote in the world, it was:
I love standards, there are so many to choose from.
So I guess you could go around telling everyone that they're wrong, and try to get everyone to change. Oh wait that's what you're doing. Perhaps you might want to get the standard symbol for a transistor to change as well, because as everyone knows, the arrow points in the direction that current flows. Oh, and change the symbol for a diode while you're at it.
Or you could do what everyone else does, which is to smile knowingly whenever you use "conventional" current, understand that it's backwards, but use it anyway because it's far less confusing when everyone agrees on the one standard.
