(surprised this thread took so long)

I'm personally not upgrading until Google Maps is available, I use the Transport feature quite a bit. That and there's not much reason to upgrade.

But...

I just had a play with the maps and the 3D mode **IS SERIOUSLY AMAZING**. My jaw dropped. At least in the areas around Sydney I panned around, city to eastern suburbs, every single building was in 3D. And the detail completely blitzes Google Earth. All the trees including down to a 6ft palm tree out the front of our building was rendered in 3D. All the tiny details of the building ...it has to be down to sub-metre resolution.

It's flashy and useless I know, but nonetheless hopefully points to the future direction of the 2D maps.

The parts of Sydney I panned around are on the same level as this:

I would hold off for a long time. Maps is useless. YouTube has disappeared, and you find your battery dead by lunchtime. Rubbish. Yet to find a real improvement really.

And it does something weird to the Bluetooth in the car where you have to set up the music and hands free seperately.

YouTube is available as a separate app.

Agree on maps, but it was a matter of time before it happened. Android has always short changed iOS users on functionality compared to what they give their own OS. No turn by turn navigation etc.

You can still get google maps in safari, the only thing you miss is street view and you can save it as a app icon on the main screen if its an issue.

This is actually a change in the Bluetooth functionality itself. Some users use separate systems for music and hands free so the Bluetooth standards now allow you to separate them so if you have a Bluetooth headset and a Bluetooth sound system, you can connect and use both, even if they are separate devices.

I've got the YouTube app and its ****. Really silly layout and no onscreen volume control ect.
Had my battery at 38% at 130pm ( which is ****e in itself)today, I used it to check email once and made one 2min phone call. Pulled it out of my pocket at 3pm and it was turned off dead. I'm thinking its lte connected issue. I'm turning lte off tomorow and will report back the results. If its not related to lte I'm takin the sucker back to apple.
Ps I've done EVERYTHING possible to reduce battery suckage. So this will be my last attempt.

Got similar issues. Heard some people resolved it by doing a install without restoring from a back up but don't want to do it unless I know it's going to solve the problem. Odd thing is my phone seems to charge in no time so it may be reading the charge badly.

Seems like mine was solved with the "reset all settings" option. Did that and then emptied the battery and recharged it. I've had the phone on and been checking mails and SMS's and its still on 99% two hours later. Before it would be flat in 4 hours.

There must be some old app setting that is creating havoc. Reset all settings doesn't erase your data or apps. Just resets some default settings like wifi, etc. you also lose your lock screen photo and home screen photo so don't panic after it restarts.

Photo Stream sharing looks good. Didn't notice it before.
New photos of kids now just appear on interstate grandparents' television. Don't have to talk to them.

Really disappointed in my new iPhone5. Ios6 is not a great step up from my last iPhone. The maps are crap, the battery only gets me to mid-day, the back of the handset is always dirty (preferred the glass), and the browsing and screen is crap compared to the GalaxyS3 (to thin). Wish I had bought the new Samsung or HTC 4G handset.....

Follow the steps above for a battery fix.

You can still get maps in safari. Go to maps.google.com. It prompts you to save it as an app.

Samsung isn't perfect either. How would you like to have your phone wiped simply by going to the wrong website. In short, Samsung/Android enabled a auto dial function in their phone that allows anyone to run a script off a website, link or USSD code that completely resets your phone and wipes all data.
