would they still keep their float? better than a new epoxy or tuflite? curious, if anyone can give me some advice that would be cool thanks!

mate, any brand of fiberglass board will last ten years if you dont park your car on it or leave it on the roof of you shed . my short board just turned 19 yrs old and is still a 1 . the only problem with epoxy boards is that they are to high performance ( lighter , easier to paddle and 6x stronger) but casting all that aside . performance is not for everyone. sounds like you should try befor you buy

Don't want to put Len down, he's been part of WA surfing since I started, and that's a long time ago, (not quite half a century, but getting close). Things have changed a lot since then, it's time surfing moved into this century!!! A good stringerless foam sandwich board will have a huge strength to weight ratio advantage over a conventional stringered fiberglass skin variety.
That can be same strength, much lighter.
Same weight, much stronger, or a combination of both.
It's going to cost you more, but if you're serious about your surfing. you'll get more fun out of it in the long run.
Not sure about the mass produced variety, haven't had anything to do with them. Burt's balsa boards have a good reputation down here, (not foam sandwich I admit, but same principal). Don't know if Mark Stone from Gero is making mals with his polyester foam sandwich technique, but his wave boards also have a good reputation. There's also Juice, and Kaos, I'm sure either of them can make you a great board.

have bought several boards thru len
mainly as did great custom boards, and made them strong

good guy

but imho it is a cottage industry stuck in 20th century

have a few tuflites, couldn't be happier
u need to know what u want thou, but u can also then get an exact replica next time
havent tried tuflite longboard

len will do epoxy as will others eg got a delta custom epoxy

summary
len makes good boards strong dependable and can be totally custom
new pop outs, lighter less prone to dings, but do ding and some dont like the feel
