in a state of boredom/hangover i went to watch the uni games down at balmoral in sydeny, watching 20 odd learners and about 3 experienced sailors do a marathon is actually quite funny. from my observation post there were about 19 people dropped out after doing 1-2 sheltered laps with the others going on. these people/idiots went on sailing a wally in twenty knots of slop with an 8ft swell. the first two came out with out to much damage and the third not to far behind looking a bit worst for wear, but alas the fourth little piggy which never made the storie your mummy told came back 30-40 min later looking like a drowned rat, though to the amusment of the rescue boat crew and everyone else on the harbour. though these people must be honoured, as sailing a board which is famous for rounding up and nose diving simultaniously, and dosen't steer once plaining, is no mean feat.
i thank these people for providing an alcho with some amusment on a rather drab day.
