Dr Death , i kid you not !!

I used to attend a Drs' surgery ('60s/'70s) in Attadale where the 4 Drs were Butcher, Blades, C Ryan (cryin') and M Angeloni (mangle oni).

... and I kid you not!!

Also, and anaesthetist friend of mine (in PMH) had to gas a kid who was having a shunt inserted into his head - a head shunt (to relieve pressure). The kid's father was the head shunter at the Midland railway yards.

... and I kid you not, again!!

Winehouse death sparks rehab surge: report

The death of singer Amy Winehouse has sparked a rise in the number of people checking in to rehab, a British newspaper says.

Since the death of the 27-year-old, well known for her heavy drug and alcohol abuse, on July 23, doctors have seen an increase in people seeking help for substance abuse, London's Sunday Mirror reports.

The 60-bed Capio Nightingale hospital, where Winehouse was treated, is full and has faced unprecedented demand in the past month, doctors told the Mirror.

"This year has been much busier than last and there's been an increase since Amy's death," a hospital spokesman said.

A nurse working at another London drug and alcohol rehabilitation clinic said: "The phone hasn't stopped ringing since Amy died."

"People have been saying they don't want to end up like her.

"One woman was sobbing saying she knew she needed help and that Amy's death has brought it all home to her."

While the results of a post-mortem examination on Winehouse proved inconclusive, there has been widespread speculation that the singer, who had a hit with her single Rehab, was on a drug and alcohol binge at the time of her death.
