Had swimmers ear for last few days. Been to the Dr, got drops etc. Still annoying me. Any tips would be appreciated.

For future....

Iused to use drops called Aqua ear after being in the water as a preventative. Worked well. The 'ol swimmers ear doesn't seem to worry me any more. Must be getting old

this sounds suss but i swear by it. theres little kiddie craft tubes called scoobie doos. flexible little soft peastic things.
stick 1 end in ear, other end in mouth and suck. i know you are not supposed to stick anything smaller than your elbow in your ear, but i got desperate one night and it worked a treat, and still use it now.
gotta be SUPER careful though.

I wouldn't trust a doctor that stares at his bare feet all day.

I've converted to blu tack - don't let the water get in there in the first place. Its supposed to be the best way to avoid all those freaky stories about ear canals closing up/needing operations etc that you read here on the surf forum.

Its a bit quiet at first, but then you get the zen of it. What was that?
