hi im vaugley aware of issues with travelling with gmail and logging in in different countries. I wont have an international roaming phone with me as its a private trip and ill be leaving my workphone at home. I went to see if I could turn off 2 step..It asks me to set up so perhaps it's off. So does this mean I don't need codes and I'll be ok? or will it lock me out the moment I try to login and be a total PITA. Is it easier to enable and print codes? or are the codes for if you dont have two step. Kind of wary as I had massive issues with my parents travelling with gmail and it got confusing.

If you're travelling to china, just remember Gmail won't work at all without a VPN

None of those countries are China.

I have used gmail right through SE Asia, China, NZ Europe and Morocco all within 14 months and have not seen any issues with gmail.

Ok so here. I think the issue was the oldies had two step verification on. I think when they signed up I was on. Anyway it sucked because as soon as they tried to login in another country it locked them out and sent a sms unlock to their phone, which they didn't have with. U can print out codes beforehand if u have to. Wasnt sure if it was just. With 2 sep bit seems so
