I think he means HD.. (high definition).. Taking HD off will give you a much faster load speed.. but at a low quallity viewing..
The Vimeo stalling problem varies for me depending on internet speed and computer storage space.. Maybe its a RAM thing..
Try starting to play the vid and then click pause.. then wait for it to load 100%.. then click play again..
