wind at sunrise/sunset?

can anyone explain why the wind usually kicks in at sunrise and turns off at sunset?

I thought it would have been vice-versa... Wind on at night, wind off at day... The purpose of this is to mock wind lovers. Simple[}:)]

air over land fluctuats (at night is cold day is warmer) air over water stays constanish air moves from warm to hot because shorter days in winter less time for land to get hotter more time for it to get cooler morning easterlys in winter stronger somthin like that anyway
