Hey guys looking at getting a new kite. I ride a 07 waroo 13m. Im getting into riding freestyle more and more and I was thinking about buying a RPM. I have herd some good reviews so far. Was wondering what other kites are out there that you can compare with the RPM

one man's dream is another man's nightmare. hey, brad broke up with jennifer when millions of other guys love her.

i love my kite, some of my friends love it, others hate it. I'll put money on the fact that you could put down 10 demo kites, 50 riders and you'd maybe get consensus on the top 3, but that would probably correlate to what the riders are currently using. I.e. cabrinha most popular so its likely to come out in the top 5 because people are used to it. If on the other hand, you got a completely brand neutral bunch of people (i.e. 5 slingy riders, 5 cab riders, 5 naish riders, 5 north riders, 5 ozone riders, 5 takoon riders, etc) you'd probably get back a fairly even set of answers as to the best kite.

So, it basically means there are some answers:

1. Test as many as possible until you find something you like
2. The kite you like will probably have something to do with the kite you are currently riding (i.e. similar feel or bar pressure)
3. Even if you pick a kite you don't like as much, after 2 weeks you'll get used to it and will like it a lot anyway
4. If you're a lazy c**t like me, you'll limit the testing to one pump kites (you won't be used to it because you don't have it on your current kite, but those who have had it won't go back to non-one pump kites)
5. The kite you pick will have a limited effect on your performance, unless you're doing something like unhooking or wave riding and go for a kite specifically aimed at this, or you're just damned good, in which case you'll probably opt for a new style c kite.

Well said Saffer. Try as many kites as you can. Having said that I am very impressed with the 12m RPM.
