I just wonder if someone have experience with flying a cabrinha switchblade IDS 'o9
10m with the bar for the 12m.
Is there anything that will not work or speaks against is or is it in general possible?
What's the difference between the 55cm and 50cm ( beside the length)?

It just won't react as fast when you start to turn it. It should still fly the same otherwise.
EDIT- Misread that. thought you were going from big to small. My bad.

I flew my 8m SB with the bar from my 12m a few times. It's a heap of fun for novelty value. You can do some tricky flick of the wrist turns. You have to keep your wits about you and not over control your kite but it works ok. It's better to have the right length bar.

Thanks for the info.
So toppleover u flew it all the time so i will give it a try. Isn't right that if you use a longer bar the impulse on the kite is bigger?
But WillyO, good question? Are the bars the same for the 8m and 10m switchy?

i have a 12m and a 10m and the other day i used the 12m bar (55cm?) on the 10m. Didn't like it l. Thought I would just put my hands closer to the middle but it still turns different because of the length of the bar. When I go from the 12 to the 10, even though the 10 is more responsive, it is probably compensated by the smaller bar so the feel is similar. When I flew it with the bigger bar and not used to it I kept crapping out overflying it. would probably easily get used to it but that's the point I think they are different sizes to try to keep a similar feel over the quiver. Also might have something to do with the radius of the turns?
