Looks like both board are going to be different, mainly because the 2005 flat bottom is making way for the 2006 concave which will make for a little earlier planing, but a little less speed. The rails on the misfit aren't as round allowing for greater edging, and more pop (due also to the guts of the thing too, as the 2005 was a little stiffer) but less forgiving in the chop. I loved the 2005 misfit; smooth as butter, great for blind and surface handle passes, just skating round no worries - yummy board. I'll be getting on the new ones just as soon as they send them to us - let you know more then.

thanks, i think your right about the chop side, they need to go a little bit more flexi to handle the ocean conditions , do you think they wil be better in the chop for this very reason and lose a little pop??, thats what they were known for in 2005, pop pop pop thats all people talked about, or yes and massive upwind performance, your thought are much appreciated
cheers

The sharper rails will certainly make it a little less smooth in the chop, which is a shame, due to our coastal conditions, but I think the flex might compensate, and will even add more pop, if that is possible. Can't wait to give them a go. See ya.
