I am pretty new to the sport as well, and I know I should stay far away from other kiters, people, Spirit of Tasmania etc... but I have been in sports long enough to know that it is not the brand that does the idiotic stuff, it is the rider(person), whether you ride Cabrinha, Fuel or whatever, therefore why criticise the brand?
It seems the fact that I ride a Cabrinha immediately classifies me as the same idiot as some of these guys are?? 10 000 miles from the truth!!
Its all a conspiracy, don't worry. cabrinha and slingshot riders don't fly near people on the beaches, they're just such awesome kites that the beachgoers flock to wherever they are flying and cramp the poor riders.
I once witnessed 360 people follow 3 Cabrinha riders from st kilda to brighton when the wind switched from southerly to northerly just so they could watch the pretty colours. One woman actually left her baby at St Kilda because she was so mesmerised by the hypnotic glow of the kites. They didn't even bother to drive their cars, they walked the entire way so they could watch.
Disclaimer - The above story was given to me by a Cabrinha rider

....and I can't brush aside the thought, that this thread comes so handy for the anti-kiter lobbiers....these are the photos, videos, and posts they like to see, read and possibly collect, and at the right moment present them to the councils....
....as a kiter I am still looking for any value of this thread and video......
....I would rather value simply preventing these from happening on our beaches at the time when they are about to happen rather than talking about them....
Lets put it this way. How well did brushing it under the carpet work for the catholic church?
Sooner or later the **** gets found out and by sweeping it under the carpet its seen as not making any attempts within the community to rectify the situation.
We can all sit around and pretend it doesn't happen, but we all know it does.
