I have found over inflating older kites can start to pull the stitching apart .Some of the stitching on my strut bladders is failing, I use sail tape around them works sweet . You can get away with a patch like the ones that come with your kite or from a kite shop. Just make the patch really big they don't like sticking over the stitching . Your closest kite shop should be able to hook you up with a repairer other wise.

my 2010 cabrinha switchblade 10 meters leading edge stitching failed, causing the bladder to burst shortly after launching it, Looking over the 8 and 12, the 8 has some stitching that is also coming apart in pretty much the exact same spot as the 10, and the 12 has nothing.

My 2011 SB 12m had some stitching come undone not far from the inflation point deforming the main strut when it was inflated.

I repaired it with a heavy duty sewing machine.

There have been a number issues with Cab kites stitching over the years.

+1 Moti Levi.

Had a bladder burst and ripped the leading edge. Would not know a repair had been done except for the stitching was newer looking colour. Great job. Superfast turnaround. Had drama with courier getting it back but in no way was Motis cews fault. Highly recommended.

Cabrinha was warranting these when they were still under 12 months old. They didn't replace the kites, but just paid for the LE to be reinforced.

Send it to Moti - might cost ya $20 or so. We've had some as low as $12.

Send it or bring it to Kitepower Sydney, we can get this re-stitching done for a very low cost. The kite is well out of warranty, but once it is restitched you will not have any other problems relating to this issue.
