Dont ask how, but i managed to break all 4 lines simultaneously during a failed frontroll/kiteloop/f*ckup...somehow the fifth line didnt break...but now i got 4 lines that end just below where they used to form the coloured reinforced lark's head/ pigtails. I've already ordered new lines, but wanted to know if new ends can be sewn on the lines, and if so, by whom...any help appreciated.

Hey Lovey,

you can buy a re-sleeving kit and borrow your mums sewing machine?????? and have a crack at it yourself, or just take them to your nearest sailmaker with the re-sleeving kit and it should be fixed lickety split!

Good winds

i have been to neil before at hold the line for the same thing and he can resleeve the ends and it will look like new.i'd get them fixed instead of buying new lines. or cut them down to 20's for waves and kiteloops.

Hey i jsut swapped one of my lines from my caution bar to my airrush bar and the "turning" (non leading edge) lines are about a meter longer than the leading edge lines. is this how it should be?

More info Samio ...You talking 4 line set up or 5 line set up ??
Rule of thumb for 4 line is to have all 4 lines the same length when your depower adjustment is fully powered and you are in your most comfortable kiting position ...Any further adjustment should be done after you have flown the kite to see how it performs ..All kites are a little different and not every one likes the same settings ..

OK Samio ...So now your back lines are too long (about a metre I think you said) I would take the easy option and shorten your back lines ...The airush bars have them neat little plastic adjustment knobs where the leader lines go through the bar ends ...Loop a piece of rope through the kite end of all four lines and tie it to something solid ...Roll out your lines ...Set your adjustment to full power (i.e. right out )..Put on your harness and hook in ...adjust the lines so they are all tensioned the same when you are in your most comfortable kiting position..This should leave you with plenty of depower by moving your bar forward ...Make sure the back lines are both exactly the same length so when you pull from the centre of the bar it is at right angles to the lines (i.e. straight)...Fly the kite and see how it feels ...you may need further adjustments but it should be OK ...Have Fun
