I'm just about to join you all down in WA to kite until the wind leaves for the winter. What are the crowds like down there??? From most of the pictures i have seen, it looks pretty busy, is it a bit of a gong show on the water??? With so many excellent spots so close to a big city (Perth) in an area known for some of the best winds, i would think kiting would be huge, but i have been wrong before.

I was in Cumbuco, Brazil last year to kite and it was absolutely brutal. The place was so full of Euro's that don't follow the rules of kiting you had to do about 4 tacks before you could get enough room to do one jump.

People here are very civilized and polite. We all try and set a good example as it is our home.

It can be tourists who do not inform themselves and are only "takers" who create a "gong show" (WTF).

Kite locations are plentiful and we have lots of wind, but please all you touros, be you euros or whatever.......respect our kite paradise as we do.

Read the local rules and ask if you can't read: kiteboardingwa.org.au/

Enjoy.

Actually some of us can be very polite, when wey're sobering and thirsty. Even I've been known to say "please", once in a while, whilst begging... until you say "no" that is...[}:)]
