A LOT of very valuable lessons there!

One issue that I think they miss - "There was a tendency toward lower injury rates for the athletes who used the quick-release system, but this tendency was not statistically significant"

I believe the problem here is that a quick release (QR) system MUST be used regularly in order for it to be able to be used instinctively in an emergency - for many people I suspect that the QR is the last thing they practise using, especially under load.

What? Kiteboarding dangerous? Bugger.

Anyone know where I can get knitting lessons?

BTW, the safetys on both my bars work. This I know from needing them occasionally, and checking them regularly. One even worked once when I didn't pull it, but I'm glad it did. My 17 had jellyfished right into the centre of the window, then caught a full load from a gust while the lines were slacked off. I thought it was going to rip me in half, but the safety let go and I was saved. Phew.
