Havent researched this exhaustively but my feeling is ....
If you are buying 'new' you may as well buy whatever kite you like.
At the end of the day - once you have bought, used & sold your kite you are going to be paying out about the same amount of dollars.
just FWIW

Then again - maybe its a bit like scotch
"Do you want the kite you'd rather fly or the kite you'd rather pay for"

1 thing for certain sure ...
If you are really keen on the money saving aspect then, by far & away, the best wtg is buy near new 2nd hand & sell after 1 season.
Cheap as chips kiting that way.
BTW - I have 2 great, near new, 2nd hand 11M & 15M Fuels for sale if you are interested

only if you think $1600 is the same as 1900,
i don't think the hellfish would have that great a resale price either, (if you can sell it) :) hehehe

... as in some kites are over the 2 grand mark, and others around the 1500 mark, and most people i don't think are willing to fork out an extra 500 for the same end result.

as for the tribal, it's been prooving to be very popular over here & i've got no idea if or when there are demos heading over west ( i didn't think there was an f-one retailer in wa) . I'd be glad to drag one over there with me next time i go, or www.xshore.com.au can sort you out if you can't wait until christmas 06 :)
