I'm heading down Albany way for the Easter weekend and want a few tips on good kiting and camping spots within 100kms east of Albany. Trying to avoid the Easter hoards and fee grabbing rangers if at all possible. I have a Troopy camper that can get into most places.
i've had a quick look online at a few places. Betty's beach, wayachinicup or two peoples bay. Anyone been?
Bluff Creek/ Cheynes Beach would be your best bet camping in the dunes. Expect a few crew around tho anywhere at that time. Epic Downwinders to be had. The other spots you mentioned would be worth a squiz but less room and will pack out quicker. Be aware Salmon season this time of year = sharks, this time last year the salmon and other fish were in masses regularly bumping into your legs in ankle deep water let alone out the back. Have Fun!
April/ May tend to be the less windy months (best time to dive in Albany) but saying that we can get anything from North easters to south westers going into winter, its a gamble but if you're here for a week you're likely to get something I'm sure.
