In seeing the brunotti game that Tatkins posted..

I was wondering if their clever enough to bring out a Pc Xbox or nintendo Super version before some other brand gets an idea

to mass market their kite/board brand on on the ingame graphics to millions of kids teens and adults who have never even seen a real one - let alone think about it.

It would certainly burst the small world bubble that the kite marketing/retailers live in !!!

Look what the kite jump over the Pier did for kiteing and it wasnt even a big jump!!! marketing made it a BIG ARSE JUMP

They could have their beginner kites in the learner section etc (just like the car games) and even have a danger updraft area if too close to shore where you automaticlly get boosted into a tree if its a Cab'

ideas from boredom

As an idea, probably alright.
In theory not really.
Do you realise how much time money and resources it takes to produce a decent game for platforms such as PS3 Xbox etc.?
Ok lets say for example sake you can make the game, you still have the problem of marketing it and selling it to people. I reckon it would be about as popular as those PS2/3 titles that are released and you see on the shelf 6 months to a year later with a $15 price tag.

Said it before and I'll say it again; there are enough kiters already. Why would people on this forum (with possible exception of shops and schools) want to mass market our sport?

When people ask you about kiting just tell them it's dangerous, expensive, and probably just a roller-blade sort of fad, and that they're better off sticking with pilates and spin classes.

If people want to kite, sure, they have as much right as any of us who already do. I'm just saying we don't need to hype them into it, as the end result is beaches crowded with kooks.

Yeah I think I will change my strategy as well this season.. If some enthusiastic noob is approaching you with ever the same questions, like "is it very difficult", or "do you have to be very strong", it is somehow tempting to act modest.
Now I will go like "Yeah it is doable, after going to the gym 5 times a week I finally managed to hold on to that high performance extreme sport device. Those muscles also help to absorb the nasty impacts."

In the long run, more kiters and more cash flow should benefit the R&D process.. but with all the mess in Altona, I am gonna buy shortterm.
