Hey Iggy, not too sure if it will still show, mine was hard to see even at the start, i couldnt see anything but my Orthopaedic Surgeon could, id say its best to spend the money and get a specialists opinion
For the original question, i have been pondering the same thing and talking to a lot of different people and im thinking of going down the strapless path and hopefully that will help strengthen my ankle when i get back into it though ill have more insight come September - December (hardest thing at the moment is just getting into shoes, cant imagine trying to get my foot into wake boots anytime soon)
Phoney- I would suggest getting a physio to look at your feet as thats not normal, has it been a recurring problem or a previous injury?
i ride strapless or boots only,
ankle will get a shake strapless, i find that the response from the deck shakes the bone (and my plates) much much more than when riding in boots.
be careful and don't rush back in. re injuring will suck and take you out for longer.
