Jess, thank you for sharing your experience

.
I queried this topic because I went to the beach today to make sure that the Seabreeze graphs, that indicated no wind, were not wrong: of course they were right and there was no wind at the beach

. On my way back home (approx 1km inland), studying the hundreds of wind indicators on the way, I noticed significant wind... So I thought: " Cool! The wind has just started!"

... and went back to the beach... where there was still no wind!?

Just to make sure, I waited half an hour and noticed an increasing wind, but offshore!!!

. Then i accepted the hard reality: Seabreeze was right (again!).
During this half hour, I wondered where these two air masses (SSW wind against ESE wind) were going? Upwards? Nowhere, just filling a 'gap' in the air mass? Or is it the same wind that rotate (IMO less plausible).

I leave this response to our Seabreeze's meteorologists!!!
Cheers,
Fred
