Anyone in the Melbourne area, that was smart enough to hit the boss with "I won't be here on the 27th", interested in a 4 day coastal getaway?

I was thinking of Sandy Point or SW Coast... forecast will be the final decider.

My workers were whinging about having thurs off then comin back fri then the weekend off.

So just to help them out i agreed that they could swap the thurs for fri without any Penalty BS. This I did out of the goodness of my heart.

So maybe a quicky to Sandy Point could be a go. Forcast permitting.

Might only take the Sailboards.[}:)]

yep... that forecast.

if it looks like a mix of N and S... then Sandy it is!

Some nice mix of S's and I'm off to the SW.

If Sandy gets too crowded, and it's S'ish, there's always the surf beach... and I don't mind kiting in the surf. Matter of fact, it's a lotta fun! Not everyone's cup of tea, I know, but ya can't please everyone. But I recommend ya give it a go someday.

BTW Tents are the go (can sleep 2-3 if ya don't stink &/or snore, or bring ya own), 1 or 2 seats in the station wagon are spare (split for some fuel), BYO everything &/or chish&fip it. Yep! We're rough'n it.

To hell with work![}:)]

Are you saying that azza lessens the desirability of camping.

Still if I were you, I'd be worried about sharing a tent with azza.
imagine him rolling over in his sleep and touching that head of yours.

There are lots of "open fly" jokes - but I wont stoop that low.

Yep - its a rough nut that only a mother could love - built for durability, not to win prizes on the concourse ....

I have an invite to Tennis tomorrow night (corporate slut) so I will not kite Aust Day as I have swapped my part-time dad night...

Yesterday arvo at Altona was pretty epic - lagoons were kitable from about 5pm and the wind stepped up to low 20's gusting to 25+.

Got in some biiig jumps

Gotta worry about some of the newbs though - the conditions were gusty and a couple of these guys were looking uncomfortable on their 13's...but still rode in the middle lagoon at the CLOSEST point to the powerlines, road etc etc... In condition like this, stay to the TOP of the lagoons only and preferably if you are overpowered - get out the back and ride the waves instead.

Looking awesome for today...gotta love this extended holiday !
