Can anyone give me some tips on how to re-start a stalled rotation?
I had a great session at Brighton yesterday - skived off work to catch what may be some of the last 15-20kt SEers for the season. I was doing some big slow double front rolls and back rolls and feeling pretty pleased with myself when I was landing them neatly - timing working for a change.
Then the last jump I was in the middle of the 2nd back rotation when the kite caught a bit of a gust as i was bringing it across to start powering up for landing. This gave me a pull which stopped me turning and left me more or less horizontal on my back. I couldn't get out of that position and came down hard on my back/neck. Sunnies went one way, board another, and the bladder ripped right out of my impact vest. I came up with pins & needles across my head, neck & arms from slapping the water - at least I was hoping it was that and not a broken neck!
So... has anyone been in this situation? Is there a way to get around and get the board back under you? Any tips would be appreciated!
Thanks,
David B.

hey were you on the 10 speccy 2 or black and white Cabrinha?
i saw one of you do that lol... you had a bit of height,
if your lucky you can really drop one shoulder, and look where your shoulder is goin, it might get you round just enough
also try and push the bar sideways to help ur rotation...

Dave...
That's not the answer I wanted to hear! There's gotta be a way out of it!
Rhys:
Probly wasn't me mate as I was at the pool between 12-2, I was on my blue/yellow aero and Seb (who lives round the corner from you) was on his fuel, we were the only 2 at the pool. Saw a 4-5 kites at the Brighton end. Kind of glad to hear someone else had the same stack.. long as he was OK. You might be onto something, I've been thinking about an article I saw in a magazine not long back, Mark Shinn's tip was your body will always follow your head, if you can get your head around you'll be ok. Guess I'll try that next time I'm in that situation!
