Nothing below a 12-10 depending on your weight....
Kiting over there is slightly different as the temps are 30+...
This means the air is not as dense...Less particles per sq area...
you can fly slightly bigger than usual.(boyle's law)
took out a 9 in 25 knots 90kg could have been on a 12....
Check out Changu??(sp) as its cross offshore and has excellent waves if youre into that kind of thing....
Bring spares as there not a lot around.
Bali websites say the consistent winds are between june-aug so you might be in luck..
If its on, its paradise

Hello friends,
I like to be realistic and to keep things in perspective.
The past week is been windy every day but around 12-14 knots, is very rare to get 15-18 knots, like 1 day out of 10 windy day.
We have a weather station on top of our school van so we monitor the wind every day.
With that kind of wind here you will need a 16m C or at least a 13-14 Bow. Wind here is less powerful then other places.
Do not bring to Bali small kite or you will seat on the beach! or rent from me...
June-July with a big kite you will get in the water at least 70% of the days. In August it goes down to around 50% of the days.
Bye Jankie

Put up my 16mtr X-Bow (142cm FLX) - I'm 83kgs, so needed it ... nice session over at Nusa Dua side ... nice tropical conditions ... was the only guy out then the tide got too low and exposed the reef ...

Last couple of days not enough wind ... forecast dosen't look too good for next week - fingers crossed it changes !
