Hi, Was wondering is anyone kites Beachmere about 30mins north of Brisbane. Kited there on Tuesday and Wednesday was great. Tuesday could just hold the 12 Wed was a little under powered. Have never seen any other kites there keen to catch up with others if heading up there. Good to have all to your self but if it all goes pare shaped good to have someone there. Will head up this arvo if the NE tries to come in.

Hey X-trail,

We kite there occasionally...I only live about 12 minutes from that spot. Most of the time we head up the coast for the surf.

You are right about getting into trouble there...no one around to help.

Watchout for the crab pots, ray's and bullsharks.

Not real good on a N/E... try the surf side on bribie.

Where abouts do you live?

Crakas,

Live on the north side of Brisbane, if to go to Bribie would probably would go to the Goldie, only as I lived there for quite a while. Crab pots, ray's and bullsharks, have most of them at Runaway Bay where I mostly kite so same risk different spot. One time got stung by a sting ray on the foot while at the pin, hurt like hell. Mate called sea rescue and they picked me up. Keen to catch up if ya keen.

Yeah sounds good.Give us a yell next time you are going to beachmere. I'll email you my details when I get home from work.

I live a couple of km's north of the Bribie turnoff.

Quite often go over to Bribie just to mix it up a bit, not the best spot but can be good fun. It take just along to get up to the Sunny Coast as it does over to the surf side on Bribie.

I kite mostly during the week and occasionally on weekends and don't usually go to beachmere by myself due to the lack of assistance if something goes wrong. Did my ankle there in 2005 and it took me over an hour to get packed up and back to the car...lucky it was an automatic.

Just be careful Andrew; Paulio is a great fella... but sometimes his Nan tags along for the ride, she's great too (as most of us will confess after copious amounts of beer)... but... you're best off to just check it out for yourself and search Google for "paulio nan site:www.seabreeze.com.au". Dont say we didn't warn you.
