i think melville is a great place to learn but you have to be extra careful out there...
if you are unsure of what kite to set up ask someone else what they would recommend... let others know you are learning and that way we can look out for you...
if not %100 sure about your setup ask someone to check your lines to make sure all is ok...
there are so many really nice people down at melville that i know would help you in a second, so take up that opportunity...

also if someone sees that you are putting up a kite too big ... please take their advice.... we ARENT giving it because we dont want you to kite we ARE giving it because we would hate to see anything happen to anyone of you

i have seen quite a few accidents and injuries at melville recently... it is scary to think that advice is being ignored... some of these incidents could have been avoided
