Looking to buy two kahoona's. I weigh 83kg, ride north freestyle fish and TT on strong days. Kite down Mandurah way, so a little lighter than Perth, but I do go up north once or twice a year.

From those who ride these kites, what two kites will cover the most wind range and still let me out in say 25-28 knots. After this I'm out anyway.

Cheers guys

ps Is this the right section to put this in?? I get confused with all the different areas.

G'day Eppo,
I'm about 80kg and if i had to pick one I'd go for the 9.5m.
I use a 9 & 11 waroo in Mandurah and if it's too light for my 11 it's not worth it
The burgundy one looks mint

Go for the Kahoona V2 7.5 with 50cm bar & 9.5 with 55cm bar. I have these and they do perform. Plenty of low end grunt for trucking upwind and the V2 top end has improved from V1.

Yep 7.5 v2 is my favourite one,,from 18 to 30 knots,,waves ,freestyle,,good boosting,,and yep its much better then the first edition,,super stable, grunty like a truck and super fast,,,most riders dont understand why a use a 7,5 and they are on 10 and even 11,,i know not easy to believe,,and the price is owesome,,,

The 9.5 will let you ride from 15 knots, the 7.5 will take 30 knots, so those are the 2 kites to go for. I use the same 50cm bar for both and find the kites turn fast enough.

(By the way, make no mistake guys, the Kahoona V1 is an awesome kite! Just slightly less top end.)

Regarding sizes, I can also confirm what Resaka said, I'm regularly out on the 7.5 when others are out on other brand 9's and 10's---and I weigh 93kg- its NOT my board! These kites are very wind-efficient...

Okay thanks for that? How quickly does the 11.5m turn, compared to say the 11m bullaroo?

Wondering if to go a 11m bullaroo and 7.5m kahoona.
