I have come to believe that there is a little man that lives in the North Head Windmeter, and blows on it at will.

take today for instance... the wind 3pm - 4pm were forming a few white caps in the distance... about 8 knots, maybe 10 at a push.

The trees barely move shore side, but the North Head Windmeter finds that there is 15knots of wind gusting to 20! And I watched the volleyball most of the day and never saw ANY wind (and I am desperately wanting to see it!)

How can this wind meter be so far out... is in in a wind tunnel of sorts?
