Was just reading the post in windsurfing regarding stonefish found at scarborogh beach redcliffe and thought it might be worth mentioning that while looking for a lost wedding ring at bighton beaches little rock reef at low tide, we found two blueringed octopus.
Probobly worth all the walkers keeping clear of the reef

Scary. But no where near as dangerous as some of the "Red Ringed Homos" we have on the South side here in Sydney. They are all over Botany Bay...they seem to gather in huge packs at dolls point and Kurnell...

Just as you are pumping up your kite, they approach from behind and "whack" you have been stung...

Just to be safe, always kite on the Northside of the bridge...where the girls are gorgeous, the water is clean, the kiters and surfers are legendary and there is no sign of the dreaded South side "Red Ringed Homo"...

Dude that sounds scary, at least scary enough that it scares me and Hulk!
I don't think Batman will mind about it and I'm pretty sure that Robin will go there from now on:

Haha, at the time i was more scared about facing the wife after i'd lost my wedding ring in the rocks. Reckon those red ringed homos would be even scarier again though

They actually help people to forget about their wedding rings, I don't know if it's a good thing or a bad thing but what I know is that their sting is unnecessary for a single man like me. if I get marry one day I will consider a session of kite surfing there (with a small damaged pump) for the sake of my life.

Red ringed homos
Damn, i suspected that frothing chugalga "pulling the gumboot out of the mud sound" coming out of the bushes at Elwood beach wasn,t just a local drain cleaner.
This would explain the high demand for windsurfer mast bases and petroleum jelly in the locale.
Better call Sir Richard Rectumborough to make a doco.....

Lots of blue ringed octopus living all along the front of Redcliffe Peninsular, just walk (with shoes) around the shallows at low tide. Scarbs is particularly bad for stonefish, rays and cone shells, booties almost a must though won't really protect you.
One of the windsurfer spotted a shark off Queens point the other day so I guess our friend is back, hope he is fed.

The ones i've heard of were seen at queens beach scarborough.
Still haven't seen the shark that lives there, how big is it?
