The marina went 700m out into the bay

Is it anywhere near the kiting locations?

Does this mean if it goes ahead you guys will have even less room, or would it give you a Kitecross course with some super long sliders

The bay is mostly water front reserve, who did they buy the bay from to build a marina? 700m would take you along way out in the bay, Is Rockdale council at it again?

Whats going on at kite beach down near the novotell. That fence makes the spot a little more dangerous then neccersary

There is some sort of grand plan afoot, we all got a DVD in the mail from the Council. Its in the shop if you want to see it or ask anyone who is a resident if you can borrow a copy.

Huge concrete and stone pier with a marina on the airport side. The pier will have underground parking, shops, fenced bathing area, big movie screen, etc.

We might see it finished in 10 - 20 years!

They have to get is past few hurdles yet.

The seed is planted though.

Ive just recently moved to Sydney after working in Europe for a couple of years to find this monstrosity at Kite Beach. Spoke with local council who told me they are extending the walkway down the beach from the beach coffee shop.The marina will be built as an extension of Bay street.
By the time the walkway is finished it will cut the area where kites are launched in half.At hightide the beach area will be too small for launching.
I also asked why the work was being done in summer when the beach is fully utilized as opposed to winter when no one uses it much.The dill I spoke to said youre right and then said you just cant help bad luck can you. What a DH.
Anyone else have info
