Why is it that there are so many reports of lost boards in Botany.
Never hear of people losing there stuff at Boat Harbour or at Northern beaches. Is the tide there that much worse then other places?

It's like the Bermuda triangle for boards. I almost lost my brand spanking new board again on Sunday. If it wasn't for a very nice man flying a Blue/White Flexifoil Storm who picked my board up around 30m away from where I was looking I would be posting a "Lost Board Dolls Point" message.
The reason is because there is no tide bring the board to shore the tide takes the board up the bay and some times it can get very choppy so it also makes it difficult to spot.

Here we go again. Ready to jump on me one and all !!! USE A LEASH.
BUT only to secure your board while you re-launch your kite.

the bay is lousy for losing board but what ever happened to the buddy system. seems the people loosing their board don't have anyone watching their back. If i was still a kook like the thousands that frequent dolls i would be pairing up with at least someone else and making sure i was watching their back and then i could relax cause i knew someone is watching mine.
A good idea is also to have a leash or someway of keeping the board with you when you take 20 minutes to relaunch then unclip it when the thing finally comes back up.
Just a bit bored thought i would add my 2c
